About the Executive General Manager – Corporate Services Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive General Manager – Corporate Services will provide strategic and operational leadership across People & Culture, Finance & Insurance, Governance, and the Project Management Office (PMO). The role is responsible for ensuring The Y Australia has the systems, governance, financial stewardship, organisational capability, and culture required to support the ongoing growth and sustainability of the Y movement.
Working within a complex federated environment, the Executive General Manager will partner closely with the CEO, Board, Executive Team and Member Associations to strengthen governance, deliver strategic projects, drive organisational performance, and foster a collaborative, high-performing and values-driven culture.
About You
You are an accomplished executive leader with experience across an array of corporate services portfolios - including finance, people and culture, governance, company secretariat, and/or project management. You bring demonstrated experience partnering with CEOs, Boards and executive teams to deliver strategic and operational outcomes within complex, multi-site or federated organisations.
You combine commercial acumen with strong governance capability / company secretary experience, exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to build high-performing teams. A collaborative, values-driven leader, you are recognised for your integrity, sound judgement, adaptability, and ability to translate strategy into operational excellence while strengthening organisational capability and long-term sustainability. Experience within the not-for-profit, community, member-based or purpose-led sectors will be highly regarded.
