About the Chief of Staff Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive officer, the Chief of Staff, provides strategic support to the CEO on key strategic priorities and external relations. The role is responsible for providing high level and expert executive counsel to the CEO on a broad range of significant issues and projects. The position also oversees WorkSafe’s media team.
The position works within a complex environment and often manages sensitive, time critical issues requiring innovative solutions. The role liaises, consults and negotiates at a senior level on a range of executive, operational and policy issues. The role also leads projects on behalf of the CEO.
About You
WorkSafe is seeking a highly capable, politically astute executive advisor with experience operating within complex government, regulatory, insurance or stakeholder-driven environments. You will bring demonstrated capability in executive coordination, strategic advisory, stakeholder engagement, and navigating politically sensitive issues.
You will be a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive and adaptable leader with strong judgement, exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities within fast-paced environments. Experience working closely with senior executives, Boards, Ministers, or government stakeholders will be highly regarded.
