About the Role

The Chief Commercial & Financial Officer is a pivotal organisation-wide leadership role with responsibility for a broad, integrated portfolio spanning finance, governance, risk, compliance, performance and reporting, alongside key operational functions including campus operations, procurement and assets.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working closely with the Board, this role operates at scale across a complex, multi-campus and multi-brand organisation, with reach across metropolitan, regional and international activities.

The position plays a critical role in shaping organisational strategy and performance, driving commercial and financial outcomes, and enabling effective engagement with stakeholders across all levels of government.

Leading a multidisciplinary team, the Chief Commercial & Financial Officer will bring a whole-of-organisation perspective, balancing strategic transformation, financial sustainability and operational excellence across a diverse portfolio of businesses.

About You

You are an experienced senior executive with a strong background in financial leadership, governance and enterprise performance within complex organisations. You bring a strategic and commercial mindset, with the ability to lead integrated portfolios and influence decision-making at Executive and Board level.

You have demonstrated experience in financial strategy, risk management, governance and stakeholder engagement, ideally within public sector, education or similarly regulated environments. You are a strong communicator and trusted advisor to executives and Boards, capable of navigating complexity and balancing strategic priorities with operational delivery.

You are a values-driven leader with the ability to build high-performing teams, foster accountability and collaboration, and drive organisational performance and long-term sustainability.
